Here at Nevada School of the Arts we are excited to announce that we will be offering several
Musik Garten classes this Spring 2008.
Musikgarten I : Family Music for Infants - 6 weeks to 18 months(Fall or Spring semesters) Thursday 9:30-10:00 a.m. / 16 weeks
$175.00 plus $30.00 material fee
Musikgarten II: Family Music for Toddlers - 18 months to 3years
(Fall or Spring semesters) Thursday 10:15-11:00 a.m. / 16 weeks
$195.00 plus $30.00 material fee
Introduction to Music Class
(Fall or Spring semesters) Saturday 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon / 16 weeks
4 students minimum 8 students maximum
$250.00 per semester
All classes will meet at the Nevada School of the Arts.
The first class of each Musikgarten course will be parent orientation. It
is strongly advised that the children not attend the first class. For more

Introduction to Music class is a course that is unique to Nevada School
of the Arts. The curriculum is designed to prepare students and parents
to begin private music lessons by involving them in an exploration of
rhythm, pitch, instruments of the orchestra, musical terminology, focus
and concentration and parent education.
Introduction to Music is a wonderful opportunity for children to
familiarize them with the sounds of the orchestra, listen to live
performances and explore different styles of music. The students learn
to love music as a listener and a participant. This exposure enables
families to be better informed and decide which instrument they would
like their children to study.
It is recommended that students participate in at least one semester of
the Musikgarten curriculum before the Introduction to Music class to
ensure optimum success.
