Kim DeLibero received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in harp performance from Indiana University, where she was an Associate Instructor of Harp. While living in Indiana, she performed as principal harpist with several symphony orchestras in four surrounding states. Since moving to Las Vegas, she has distinguished herself as principal harpist and soloist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Nevada Chamber Symphony and Nevada Opera Theater. Ms. DeLibero is a harp instructor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada. Kim has recorded and performed all over the United States and abroad with performers such as Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Placido Domingo, Celine Dion, Martina McBride, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Wayne Newton, Natalie Cole and Seal. Ms. DeLibero may currently be heard performing in Las Vegas at two musicals: “Phantom” at the Venetian (pre-recorded) and at “The Producers” at the Paris (live). Kim will be directing the the Nevada School of the Arts Harp Ensemble in the Spring of 2008.
Tara Ogden-Skouson received a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance from Brigham Young University and received her Suzuki teaching accreditation from Mary Kay Waddington, who pioneered Suzuki Harp instruction. She has worked extensively with orchestras, chamber ensembles and theater venues throughout the United States. Tara was one of the final harpists to play for the off-Broadway musical “The Fantasticks” in New York City. In Las Vegas, she performs with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Red Mountain Music Company, “The Producers” and most regularly with Duo Mystique flute and harp. Ms. Skouson will be overseeing and teaching the Suzuki harp program at NSA.
