Robin Reinarz received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Arizona where she studied cello performance with Gordon Epperson. She taught String Education in the Clark County School district for 4 years and worked with the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras for 17 years. She is currently a paraprofessional faculty at the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts working with the cellists. Mrs. Reinarz has taught both Suzuki and traditional cello at the Nevada School of the Arts since 1995. Robin is currently the Principal Cellist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. She has performed with many great performers such as Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Frank Sinatra and others. Mrs. Reinarz was the recipient of the 2006 Nevada American String Teachers (ASTA) “Studio Teacher of the Year Award”.
Dr. Lee Richey received his Master of Music from Southern Methodist University and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has served as Principal Cellist of various symphonies, as well as Assistant-Principal Cello with the Las Vegas Philharmonic.He is currently the sole cellist in Phantom (Of the Opera), which opened in Las Vegas in June of 2006.
Moonlight Tran graduated from University of Southern California magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance.Her principal teacher was Gabor Rejto. She also received the prestigious Congress of Strings, Musician’s Local 369 Program to the University of Washington scholarship-only orchestral and private Summer Studies. She participated in the International Cello Congress and played in Zara Nelsova’s master class. Ms. Tran is a member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has been invited to play live numerous times on KNPR Las Vegas. She freelances in the Las Vegas area and maintains an active teaching studio. Currently, Ms. Tran is the cellist for “The Producers” show at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.
Elena Kapustina is a native of Belorussia. She is a graduate of the Belorussian State Conservatory with Masters Degree in Cello Performance, Pedagogy and Chamber Music. Ms. Kapustina was the Assistant Principal Cellist of the National Opera Theater in Bulgaria. She is in the cello section of the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
